Erickson Hernandez Almonte

Erickson Hernandez Almonte is very smiley! He is 8 yrs old and was born April 15^th, 2002.  He goes to school in the afternoons for 3 hours and is in 1^st grade.  Erickson is healthy except for the fact that he has a film over his left eye.  He can only see out of his right eye.  His mother explained that doctors have told her with treatement he will be able to see, but the treatment is costly.  From her explanation I am understanding that it is a catarac.

He lives with his mother Johanny Almonte, his little sister Yorkarlis who is 6 yrs old, and his big brother Carlos Manuel who is 14 yrs old.  Johanny is divorced, and living with her brother in the house that was left to them after their grandmother passed.  The house is in very poor condition. She is a devote Christian and believes that God will take care of her and her family always.  Johanny is unemployed.

When asked to explain Erickson, his mother says he is a happy boy, very friendly, he has a lot of energy, and lots of friends.

Erickson wants to be a policeman when he grows up.
